I've got a couple of Evo sites where I'm unable to add a link to an image in TinyMCE. With the image selected, I click on the link button to add a URL, type in the URL, then click on OK and nothing happens. The dialogue box just stays there.

    tinymce 4.3.7.2
    Modx Evo 1.2

I googled around and found mention of this issue on other CMSs and it seems the bug has been fixed in the tinymce source but I don't know how to fix this in Modx

My clients use this quite often so I really need a fix for this.

Alternatively, is there is another editor that I could use? Where do I find one?

You could try CKEditor. I'm not sure if it's available for Evo.

It's possible to just pull in TinyMCE4 from the web in your Template and make it work with any text area, but you might have to fool around with configuring it to have the options you want and to make it use whatever selector the Manager uses.

You could take a look at the current NewsPublisher code. It does that now.

Or you could convert the site to Revo and use NewsPublisher. wink

I looked for this but I didn't find anything.

As much as I would like to convert to Revo, this is not really an option. The site is complex, with more than 1000 pages, and they're a non-profit with limited budget.

I found the new github issues list for Evolution CMS and opened an issue there. It seems others have seen this but there's no fix as of yet.
