Answered Seeking Advice on Cloning An eCommerce Site

I have not done anything like it. I've been contacted to model MedLine.com. What will the cost look like to do something of this magnitude in MODx? About seven sections:

Customized Content based on visitor’s area of interest

- Products (branded as medline)
- Solutions
- Research
- Education
- About Us
- Blog

Univerisyt

I'll appreciate thoughts and suggestions.

Hi snowfun87,

Welcome to the MODX forums. Firstly I'd say it may be a good idea to mask the url so that if your client googles it or monitors their SEO this thread won't pop up in the search results.

Secondly, I've taken a very brief look at the site and there doesn't seem to be anything too complicated about it. Your post here is titled 'ecommerce' but I can't see any aspect of ecommerce in the current live site. Is this an additional requirement? Other than that potentially adding on a fair chunk of design and dev time it's a pretty straight forward information site. You would need to spend a good 5-6 hours researching further though to do a proper functional and technical specification to cover everything but just guessing out of the air on what I've observed then I would say porting it to MODX shouldn't take more than maybe 2-4 days.
