    I’m sure this has been asked and answered before but I’ve tried so many times and can’t find the answer.

    How do I turn error reporting on in MODx? The regular PHP error_reporting function doesn’t seem to cut it.

    My client’s whole site is down right now and I don’t have any way of knowing what’s causing the problem.

    Thanks,
    Jason

      If your hosting provider allows PHP directives in the .htaccess file, you could try to add this to said file:
      php_value display_errors 1

        You can also put this in a suspected file:

        <?php
        ini_set("display_errors", 1);
        error_reporting(E_ALL);
        ?>

        Note that it may not take effect if your error log is full.
