I really screwed up my site, it's not live so not a huge deal but....
I was playing with resource groups so that our editors only had access to pages that were in their resource group. Haven't done anything for a week. Today I went on it and notice our anonymous users have no access to any pages(HTTP 500 error).

    Help please

Does your anonymous group still have Web context access?

The greatest compliment you can give back to us, is to spend a few seconds leaving a rating at our trustpilot: https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/alienbuild.uk about the service we provided. We always drop mention of services offered by businesses we've worked with in the past to those of interest.

Sounds about right, but I think the default is load only.

Load Only is more restrictive, so I'd recommend leaving it at Load, List, and View, until you solve things.

It's unusual to get a 500 error from a MODX Permissions issue, though probably not impossible. Did you add any plugins or snippets lately that might be involved?

Once you've protected resources in the web context with a Resource Group Access ACL entry, you have to make one like it for the anonymous group for the 'web' context, otherwise the resources will be hidden from them in the front end.

If you're trying to protect resources in the Manager, make sure all the Resource Group Access ACL entries have a context of 'mgr'. Then the above action won't be necessary because none of the resources will be protected in the front end.

Couldn't get it right. Removed all resource groups and now seems to be visible to anonymous users. Just not setup the way I need. I will work on it later.
