    Hello all,
My name is Emma and I have a few questions to ask you all before I start learning MODx. I would be very happy if someone had the time to answer them for me wink

    1) I want to start an online community site, the site will have a main blog and multiple categories, I also have around 20 editors that I want involved in the site and I want them to login and contribute content to a certain category, is that possible? eg. 5 of the 20 editors can only post in the blog and the rest in say Music reviews?

    2) Can I change the URL to what ever I want? Say www.mysite.com/login and not www.mysite.com/manager/

    3) If one of my editors logs in, I only want them to see certain parts of the sites admin panel, so is it easy to customize that?

    4) I saw that the blog plug in for MODx is called Ditto, is that the only way to create a blog in MODx?

    5) Can anyone please post some links to some magazine site and community sites that have been create with MODx?

Thank you in advance for anyone taking the time to answer my questions smiley

    Regards,
    Emma

      1) yes

      2) Don’t know for sure... Think I saw this question before on this forum with a solution

      3) You can give the rights about what they can see and can change

      4) You can do it with whatever you want if it is php, but ditto is the most common option

      5) I can’t, I know that there are but forgot the links!
        with regards,

For number 2 the short answer would be no, or at least not easily, with the Evolution branch of modx.
I believe with the Revolution branch it is possible.
