Try repairing all tables in the DB.
Is it possible that Softaculous did an automatic update?

Thanks, but the repair all db tables did not resolve the issue. I forgot to mention I, had repaired the cached sessions table.
I updated the site to 2.5.7 a while back, since there have not been any new updates I do not believe it was updated by softaculous.

I recall reading a thread on this from a long time ago for earlier versions where doing an update with the same version resolved the issue. I am unsure if this is wise since that was for a fresh install and earlier version.

An update to the same version worked, I can login to manager.
