I'm not clear on what you did. You "modified the fields," but the script should create a class for your table without that.
Did you edit the schema? If so, did you re-run the script with &createSchema=`0` in the tag? MODX ignores the schema itself, so you need to re-create the class and map files whenever you change the schema, and if you don't use that property, MODX will overwrite your schema file.
