Look how the demo templates are set up!

Also found this in the wiki (not sure if it’s better or not than the wiki article posted above): http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Basic_Blog

Thanks guys but those two dosent work for me.. and i have tried them many many times...

What doesn’t work with those tutorials? If you provide a bit more info then maybe we could help with the specific problem (and, if needs be, the wiki article could be updated)

Actually I’m not sure… installed modx and integrated my template, worked perfectly, and then I decided the best way to learn the system was to start implementing the features I needed. Found the tutorials on making a blog, since this part is pretty crucial, and been stuck now for couple of weeks.
So finally kicked myself and tried this tutorial once again…. http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Basic_Blog
It seems like when I make a post it doesn’t become a child of my blog but rather popup directly as sub to my site. Figured this was my main problem..

Is the parent folder right in NewsPublisher?
[!NewsPublisher? &folder=`2`...
