Please help: blank pages at setup/manager/site after moving to another server

Bob, before going with your suggestions I have just tried to run Everett Griffiths test config utility, I uploaded the php file into /home/mysite/my_new_site/public_html/ ... at the same level where index.php is and then I run http://myURL/test_config.php and nothing happened, just loaded the main page of my site, like the test_config.php doesn't exist.

Tha same happens when I try to run setup. But it works with manager, the manager utility is loaded properly.

This thing about Modx drives me crazy. I wish to be able to locate the path in the server using the URL, for example if my URL is http://myURL/assets/css/main.css I wish to be sure that the file is stored in /home/mysite/my_new_site/pubic_html/assets/css/main.css ... but I'm not this is the case. If I open http://myURL/assets/css/main.css the main page of my site is loaded, ignoring the URL I wrote.

Probably this is related with Friendly URLs you are talking about, to be honest I don't understand very well that concept ... I need to research. As I said I'm pretty new to this and also not really aware about how Apache and Modx work together in order to manage URLs.

All that points strongly to an error in your .htaccess file. Since your site is now in public_html, the RewriteBase line should very likely be:



If it's not, the odds are good that changing it to the above will solve your problem.

If that doesn't work, as I suggested, try renaming .htaccess to something else so it will be ignored.

You can turn off friendly URLs in PhpMyAdmin in the modx_system_settings table. The field key is 'friendly_urls'. Set the 'value' field to blank to turn off FURLs.
