How to upgrade 1.0.4 to MODX Revolution 2.5.7

I am new to MODX. I wonder:

1. Can I upgrade MODX 1.0.4 to MODX Revolution 2.5.7?
2. Where can I find the guide to upgrade?

I am taking over a website which is on MODX 1.0.4 and it has a serious security issue so I need to upgrade.

Hope you can shed some light on this.

There is no direct upgrade path from MODX 1.0.4 (Evo) to Revo.

MODX Evo is still being maintained by volunteers and I believe that the security issues that emerged in older version have been addressed in the latest version of Evo

Best way is rebuild from scratch with Revo. If your site has many pages - you can use the export / import with catalogFill extra or similar. If you need help - write to me in pm.
