I recently cancelled my account with Yola.com after using them for a few years. For the time being I am using Wordpress because it is free and that's what I am after. I'm not a developer but I want to use something that is pretty simple and will get the job done. My site is small but contains a lot of content that I am still adding. I keep hearing and reading that Concrete5 for example is better than blah blah blah etc... I think you know what I mean. I also keep reading horror stories regarding Wordpress and how you can really get lost when installing a ton of plugins to get the job done. I know basic HTML and CSS and that's basically it.

I like your Chunks option and the idea of using template variables. I might be able to use something like this on my site?

I'm not sure where to begin to kickstart everything. I guess I could install ModX to a subdomain and see how that goes. Recomended videos would be appreciated as well.

I hope you understand where I am coming from. I just want to create my own personal website that would reflect what I have been doing for the past few decades and that is hosing a jazz radio show.

Here is my current website www.mcran.com

I'm still trying things out with it to see how I want it to look.

    Thanks!!

      Hi Randy,

MODX is certainly easy to setup a simple website. I tried looking at your site but Avast identifed it as a threat and has blocked it. I'd suggest going your site a once over to ensure that there's nothing malicious on it.
