Since about 2 weeks ago, Uptime Robot tells me that my site goes down...and stays down....for even a couple of hours then comes back up. Going to the site I get this:

    « MODx Parse Error »

MODx encountered the following error while attempting to parse the requested resource:
    « PHP Parse Error »

    PHP error debug
Error: include_once(): Unable to allocate memory for pool.
    Error type/ Nr.: Warning - 2
    File: /var/www/vhost/domain.com/home/html/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php
    Line: 192
    Line 192 source: $included= include_once (MODX_BASE_PATH . 'assets/cache/siteCache.idx.php');

    Parser timing
    MySQL: 0.0045 s (0 Requests)
    PHP: 0.0104 s
    Total: 0.0150 s

Nothing has changed on the site, back or frontcode, but its odd this has started happening by itself and also the downtime is really hurting as people cannot see the site.

What is happening? I thought it might have been php's memory_limit and I rose that but still happens.

Since you already allocated more mem.. and you didn't change your code..

Hmm. Well then this reads like a spammer on ur sharedhosting? That can get serverloads so high, that services start to shutdown. Better check ur hosting guy. Especially when you see a pattern in downtime. My 2cts would guess that some (other) site on your server is in stormy weather ? If not then I'd take a look at my recent db queries, to see if they exhaust memory.
Accelerate your Windows system with 9.8 m/s2.

It is a shared hosting and I talked to them and they say it's a programming error but I'm sure we did not change anything on the programming side.

I mentioned if it is a DDoS attempt but they said no. THIRD time I talked to them and all they tell me is to increase memory_limit (even though I already topped it at 256)

I'm sure it is not a programming error and there is no pattern at all. So I'm kind of at a lost.

Take a look at your manager actions log to confirm if anything has been changed on the date the downtime started?

          Also clear cache.

The greatest compliment you can give back to us, is to spend a few seconds leaving a rating at our trustpilot: https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/alienbuild.uk about the service we provided. We always drop mention of services offered by businesses we've worked with in the past to those of interest.

Im looking at the reports and nothing strange in the logs or out of place.

            Cleared cache but nothing.
