Show a chunk or snippet only for pages inside a specific folder

Is there a way to show in the template a chunk or snippet only for pages inside a specific folder?

...or is there a way to set a value for a custom template variable on that page/folder and say in the template, "if this template variable has this value then display this chunk?"

Nevermind, I just figured out I can create a template variable, and put the snippet call in there for each page I want to have that snippet.
