    Hi folks,

i run a website with two contexts (and Babel for translation).
I noticed the loss of a context content after moving the site into a new dev environment.
The error is reproduceable with the distinct website. Other sites are working.
This is how to Manager looks after moving:

I get no errors in the Modx Error Log.
I get no errors in the php Error log.
I get no errors in the Apache error log.

I also deleted the core/cache manually.
I also deleted the cache via Backend.

…and I have no ideo where to search or to start due to the lack of errors...

    Help is highly appreciated.

    K.

I can't think of anything that would cause you to lose contexts in the Manager after a move.

Do you see the extra contexts in System -> Contexts in the Manager?
Do you see them in the modx_context table in the DB?
Does the modx_context table have a 'name' field?

        Hi BobRay,

        thank you for your questions.
I can se the extra context in system settings. I can even update/modify context settings.
        The context table is available.
The context table has a name field.

I the mean time, i found another thing out:
It must be related with Babel Plugin. Sites w/o Babel Plugin and two contexts work.
Maybe I am to move my enquiry for help to the Babel Developer Team.

I also found that related to Babel is a "Saving loop" issue in this very installation.
The "Saving loop" is not Server related. And is only occuring when saving "Documents", not when saving anything else like Templates, Chunks, Plugins, Snippets etc.

        Many thanks, BobRay.

        Help is still highly appreciated.

Is there anything relevant in the MODX error log?

Have you tried manually deleting all files in the core/cache directory and using incognito or private mode in your browser? A leftover cache file or browser cookie from the previous site can mess up the Manager.

            Hi BobRay,
            thanks again for your comment.

            The Error log is empty.

The core/cache was manually deleted via SSH also to sort out some FTP client cache issues or Proxy issue.
(This is the very first thing to do in case of any problems; a thing learned from you in my very beginning with modx and browsing the forum for solutions. smiley )

Context is invisible in IE, FF, Chrome with or w/o Privat/Incognito mode. It is also not depending on browsers host os (win, linux, osx).

            Thank you for your support.

            K.

Now having some more time to investigate, I found that exporting from phpmyadmin with "TRUNCATE" option on, the website gets fully functional restored in the dev system.
              The context has now content.

I am not aware of how this could affect my problem.

              Still the Saving Loop persist.
