I'm working on a 2.5.5 site and noticing that setting the "sort order" of template variables is not having any effect on the order that the TV's display on the pages they're assigned to.
Anyone else having this issue?
I think that only affects their order in the tree, because TVs now have a 'rank' field which controls their order when editing a Resource.

Can you point me to where this new 'rank' field is located?
You need to edit the TV itself, by right-clicking on it in the Elements tree and selecting "Edit TV".
Then, look on the "General" tab when editing the TV. You should be "Sort Order" on the right side. I think lower numbers will go toward the top.
