I'm using Revolution 2.5.5. Any time I try to access something related to phpthumb, I exceed the maximum number of connections per IP that my host allows (100). This includes the Modx image browser and System Settings related to phpthumb. Exceeding the connection limit causes my site to come back as 403 Forbidden until the host resets me or the timeout expires.

Below is a sample of the errors from the Chrome console, specifically when I was trying to select an image to use in an Image TV. I can't find any other errors in the Modx error log or other server error logs (besides the 403 errors once I'm locked out).

To fix the issue, I've tried manually deleting files in my core/cache folder as well as the assets/components/phpthumbof/cache folder. Beyond that, I can't quite make sense of the errors, and they've seemingly come out of no where.

It seems the manager area in general just forces the 403 error now. It may be a symptom of something bigger, I'll keep working on it and report back with any updates.

*Edit*
The overall issue of the 403 error seems to still be triggered from an Image TV that's part of an MIGXdb setup. When I click on the icon to open the file manager, there are problems loading the thumbnails in the file manager popup, which then fills up the Chrome console with errors. I managed to change Modx's error logging to "Debug" and all of this shows in the error log when I trigger the 403 error, along with some lexicon errors that I'm guessing aren't the cause. Googling some the errors didn't uncover anything for me.

Once I get back into the site, I'm going to try re-installing Modx again along with MIGX. Any other ideas are appreciated!

Reinstalling Modx and MIGX didn't fix the issue, however reinstalling TinymceWrapper and resetting all of its chunks to the default chunks that come with the extra did fix the issue. I have no idea exactly why that worked, maybe I botched a setting somewhere that was affecting the one MIGXdb.

Thought I would post here in case anyone else comes across this.

It seems the issue is back. This time I haven't touched the site in several days, so I have no idea what the cause would be. It happened at exactly the same point described above.

Open to any ideas!
