MODx forum snippet

Hi there,

Had a trawl for a snippet for providing basic forum functionality, did not find one....
anyone know if there is one?

Cheers,

J

There’s no integrated or native forum module. There are a few bridges to third party forums, like SMF though.

While it’s not a forum plugin or module, SMF forums (http://www.simplemachines.org/) is the best forum I’ve found that integrates with MODx on some levels...this forum we’re using now is SMF forum. It’s a standalone from MODx, but there are some nifty modules (i.e. http://modxcms.com/SMFssi-1143.html and http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,21588.0.html) that help it integrate into MODx. I’ve got a project I’m working on now and I’m getting some custom coding done that I will share with the community once it’s done.

Hope that helps!

thanks guys, im not suprised there is no forum snippets/modules.....lots of work to bring into modx the features of a good forum...
