I need to put protection around some files that will be made available for download to authorized users. This is trivial outside of MODx, but as I’m trying MODx out for the first time on a real website I would like to know the recommended best practice with MODx. I haven’t been able to discover any facility within MODx to handle this situation. The only solution I see at this point is to link to a temporary page served from an .htaccess-protected directory. Thanks for any relevant input you care to share.
