I'm trying to upgrade MODX. The tutorial said to merge everything, but I don't own a Mac so the suggested FTP tools don't work for me. Does anyone know of a good Windows FTP that will let me merge? I currently use WinSCP and also have looked at FileZilla. If not are there any tips how to do this without merging? Thanks in advance.
Does FileZilla let you merge files? I didn't see that option when I tried that. I'm currently on Rev 2.5.0.
According to the docs it works on 2.0 and above ( Requires Revolution 2.0.x or greater ), not really looked at merging etc I just select the files to upload and they upload leaving any that arn't being replaced in place
Okay. I'll give that a try. I'm hoping this upgrade will save me from a bug I ran into. Thanks for your suggestion. I did read somewhere SmartFTP might merge, so I'll look into that as well.
If anyone else runs into this issue SmartFTP does have the merge option. Worked great.
FYI, if you upload the files individually with FTP, it's common for one or more files to be missing or corrupted.
