I prefer to develop a modx site online on its domain, that works fine for me.
If i set the site offline, is there a way to give my client a link to view his site in progress?

Personally I use pagelocker to make the pages password protected and then just supply the client with the password.
I'm sure there's probably another way also though such as setting the site into maintenance mode and giving them a login so that they can also view the site after logging in. Bit more hassle though to setup.
