just wondering if there is a plugin for markup validation (http://validator.w3.org/)
for modx?

one which will display the xhtml validation status within the control panel maybe?

I’m not sure if you’re trying to watch the validation status of your documents, but when I’m designing my MODx sites, I just use this plugin with Fire Fox which quickly shows me if my coding is valid or not:
