    Hey guys,

I have a WHMCS platform that is currently integrated with a Wordpress plugin (I hate WP) and I want to do a complete front end redesign. I love Modx Revo so I was wondering if it would be a simple task to integrate Modx Revo with WHMCS or should I just stick with WHMCS as it is?

Also if it is simple/intermediate enough, is there a tutorial or guideline from WHMCS & Modx integration?

I did actually come across this extra on github a few weeks ago:
      https://github.com/digitalpenguin/modWHMCS

I haven't got round to trying it yet so can't comment on how complete/stable it is but if you, or anyone else, goes ahead and tries it do please report back here and let me know!

      Thanks,

The usual route in cases like this is to create MODX snippets and chunks from the code of the WP plugin, though it looks like digitalpenguin has done that for us in the code LK linked to.

          Hey guys,

I have installed the extra but I'm totally lost on how to use it and how to integrate it with WHMCS.

This the first time I'm working with WHMCS.

Am I suppose to install WHMCS on the same server as my modx installation? How can I tell or how does this extra integrates with WHMCS?

The documentation for this extra is limited.

            Hi @randon_noob

Sorry for the delay, just saw this. That's an extra I started work on however it's only in very early stages. It was the beginning of a proof-of-concept for a job that never eventuated. Unfortunately not even close to being used in production.

From memory the only things built were:
            - tickets integration into a MODX CMP where real-time tickets were pulled through from WHMCS via a custom API getlist processor.
            - on the web context I think I had a snippet that would handle domain searches and display the results pulled from WHMCS.

Honestly though, WHMCS is very usable without MODX integration. You can install WHMCS in a subdomain or a subfolder and just send people through to your WHMCS front-end from your MODX site for any logged-in interactions. You can adjust the CSS of the WHMCS pages to match the style of your MODX site. For example, if you have a "login" button or "buy now" link on your MODX site, just link it through to the appropriate page on the WHMCS site. Easy!
In terms of managing it, just use the separate WHMCS admin section.

            Hope that helps wink

Did you ever have any progression with this?
