I am trying to install MODx 2.5, and I want to use ssl.
I have changed the .htaccess beforehand, but it keeps redirecting to http during the process.
Has anyone made modx working with ssl ?
I find Modx documentation quite poor on the subject ( sorry
).

I don't think the advanced distribution would help.
Try deleting all files in the core/cache directory and use your browser in incognito or private mode. The http protocol might be stuck in the caches or in a cookie.
