    Im attempting to put a bunch of text on one page and then so you dont have to scroll the whole page down I’d like to put a box where all the text goes so you can scroll through it instead of the whole page scrolling down. Is that clear enough? I hope so...

    and if there is code for this, can I build anchors into this?

      In the CSS, set a height on your content box and apply the rule overflow: auto;.

      Something like:
      #scrollDiv {
	height: 200px;
	overflow: auto;
	}
