Very Frustrated! Want TinyMCE Linklist!! No information anywhere on how to enable it. HELP!

I am so frustrated. I have literally spent hours on Google, on this Forum, and in the Elements section of ModX Manager. All wasted. If I weren't so dang stubborn I would have come here long ago.

Donshakespeare, my client's favorite TinyMCE feature is the Link List. It was installed until a developer reinstalled TinyMCE. It is clearly not an installation default.

We are using Revo 2.51. Can you please tell me how to enable it and, once enabled, how to customize the menu's font and interline spacing.

At the risk of insulting you, why are you hiding this amazing feature?

This feature is not hidden, and rather trivial to include.

If using TinymceWrapper, you already have said chunk and content in your chunk, TinymceWrapperCommonCode

Don, I haven't learned anything from your answer. I suppose you think I'm stupid but I don't install ModX and this stuff is not at all intuitive.

I once asked how to install the Roxy browser. The answer was explicit. Go to Plugins, click on TinyMCEwrapper, click on 'Properties' look for 'Sutofilebrowser', select 'Roxy' from the pulldownlist .....

That was easy, Don. Can't I find instructions somewhere that tells the uninitiated what to do, in order to install 'Link List'. I also wanted to change the font and interline spacing and you didn't mention that in your response. I think a stylesheet somewhere is needed for that but I'm not sure.

Now for the MODX part, let's do this STEP by STEP
I will assume you are using TinymceWrapper


*** DO NOT EDIT DEFAULT CHUNKS. YOU WILL LOSE ALL EDITS WHEN YOU REINSTALL OR UPDATE TinymceWrapper ***

1. Find and open this chunk, TinymceWrapperCommonCode
   On third line you will see something like [[$TinymceWrapperLinkList]]
2. Open this chunk TinymceWrapperLinkList. Observe the first line

   [[-remove the pdoMenu dash prefix if you have pdoMenu (pdoTools) installed]]

3. In the same chunk, TinymceWrapperLinkList, play with &context=`web` and &parents=`39,5,9` (resource parents) to achieve your desired goal

Yes. In Chrome, right-click on the menu, inspect the element and see where exactly the stylesheet is coming from. ...assets/tinymcewrapper/tinymceskins/fairOphelia/ etc etc

You might need to hire a developer to do stuff for you when you hit a brick wall. I mean, that is what developers are there for.

OK, Don. I have a better idea now of how Link List has its style modified and where its parameters are that specify what resources are included ....

Here's the MOST BASIC of questions: What coding enables Link List? For example when the edit link dialogue is invoked from your toolbar, there's a line that says "Link List". That line appears whether or not Link List is enabled. In other words I can click the down arrow on the line all I want and there's NO link list UNLESS linklist is enabled.

What coding in ModX enables it?

Don, I know you must be fed up with me by now. I found a guy who got my link list installed for me.

I'm so frustrated with this forum. I ask the same question repeatedly and it doesn't get answered. I keep asking "What Coding in ModX Enables Linklist". You had 3 responses just now.

A child knows that if it doesn't appear when it should, it's not enabled.

That doesn't answer my question. Yes and yes to both of these questions. But you're not telling me how to enable it. You're not even telling me that seeing that code means it's enabled. If entering code that's not there is what enables iut then that should be the answer. But you don't say that.

3. Do you have pdoTools installed?
What if I do Don? How does that answer my question?

You just don't understand me. When I ask "How do I enable Link List", your answer should resemble the following:

Make sure that the Plug-In item called TinymceWrapperCommonCode is installed. If not here's how to install it. ...... When it is installed, go to the line that reads "code]link_list:[" and enter "[[$TinymceWrapperLinkList]]". Once you've done that, click on the Properties Tab, look for the line that says "Enable Linklist" and change "False" to "True". Now it's enabled, Sam.

That's the kind of help I was hoping for.
