Changing primary domain name on my hosting service - what has to happen in MODx

Running MODX Revolution 2.5.2-pl

One of my clients is changing his domain name. when i reassigned the primary domain name at the hosting service i couldn't login to the MODx Manager.

I have not worked on this site in years other than to update it so i'm a bit rusty on MODx.

I have looked at the system settings but i don't see anything there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

You have to change the config file :
root/core/config/config.inc.php (2 places)

And you have to change all (web, ...) the context too.

PS : give a test to your form in the front office.

Thank you Steeve - one more question - where you say "...change all (web,...)..." do you mean in the MySQL database?

Also, thanks for the heads up on the form. i somehow just broke that.

You may also need to change the three config.core.php files (root, manager, and connectors directories), and in some cases the RewriteBase line in .htaccess (usually not).

Sometimes, just running Setup at the new site will straighten things out, so you might want to try that first, but make sure the setup directory comes from the exact same version of MODX.
