Answered 403 forbidden when saving Tools/Config

    I have a site (Evo 1.0.14 with recent security patch) which has just been moved to new hosting.

    Everything seems to be working perfectly EXCEPT when I try to save Tools-Configuration screen, I get a 403 Forbidden error (and it doesn't save). There is no error_log to indicate what the problem is.

    Can anyone suggest what the problem might be, or where to start looking?

    The previous web server was Apache, this one is LiteSpeed, in case that's relevant.

      Maybe the cause is WAF?

        Thanks yama - I asked the host about this and they agree it might be modSecurity. They are doing some testing..

          Spot on yama! The host replicated the issue, and "whitelisted another rule" in the firewall - SOLVED! smiley
