I have installer GoodNews extra from Bitego and MODX is installed undr ISPconfig.
I configured smtp in MODX settings but I always get the following message :

SMTP mail account works fine with Thunderbird excepting a warning message because certificate is different than domain name (server certificate, not domain).

The problem is with the SSL certificate on your server or the certificate on another server you're contacting. Either the certificate is bad or misnamed, or it's out of date, or your software doesn't know where it is.
It's not a problem with MODX, and it's probably not a problem with GoodNews.
