    Hello,
Please advice me. I’m looking for a simple solution to send new documents to webusers.
I’ve traced forum for this but could not find a proper solution.
My client wants, to send emails to webusers of newly added documents.
Which snipped or module to use?

I am working on a newsletter too togetter with gertjan that wil have lots of options

one of them is to have a plugin that sends out a mail to subscribers when a new document is created (using a tv to say that you want to notify)

the newsletter tool uses webusergroups (multiple groups posible)
it can send out a newsletter using a document as newsletter.
it can send out testmails to admin (or any adres)
it will have a tracking system to see when and who cliked on a link in the mail and when the mail is read and when the user kliks on the link you can folow the user in that session time and record all the clicks he does.
        etc etc

if any hase ideas what a newsletter tool must have let me know.

          Hello,
          thanks for quick respond.
Easy Newsletter got "broken" on start, and forum resources warrant enough to solve it. As I’ve seen EN does not support what I’m looking for.
Actually fairly good solution in my case was DocLetter, but it does not support templating.
          Any other suggestions?

Dimmy, I’m looking forward for Your’s module.

Docletter doesn’t need support templating, because he sends the document like it was created, so if you have selected a custom template when creating your document, Docletter will send it.

I don’t have made further developments on it, I had the need for such a module so I try to made one and luckily it was working fine. I didn’t use it since. I’m sure some more functions could be implemented, but for now I don’t have time and I need time to write PHP because I’m not what we could call an expert.

So if someone want to improve it wink

Sorry, for my Inglitch ! grin

                Your English is just perfect!
We all could complain about our English, because it’s not our parent (my parent) language, and most of Modx users probably.

It would be grate to see DocLetter develop. Because it is a simple and usefull moudle.
                Please continue to develop.

                Greetings,

Great to hear that. I was looking for a newsletter solution as well. What I would like to see is to have something very simple: name + email + button to subscribe/unsubscribe (as in easy newsletter), but with configurable labels/titles. Reason for that is multilingual site: in different language branches of the site (using modx root tree structure) I would like to have newsletter subscription forms in the language of the site branch.

It can be done either by snippet arguments for each label or just one argument for language code and a configuration file with all labels in given language.
