    Hi Guys

(After researching the forums I found an entry from nearly four years ago (2.2) where Bob Ray was addressing this very problem, but thought it best to post now in the current 2.5 discussions)

I have 26 missing chunks. However they're only missing in the manager,
as they display correctly in the browser.
I cleared out all Element Category Access ACL's.
But I was pretty sure my issue lay in the nesting and creation/deletion of categories.

I ran Sitecheck and sure enough, with reference to my list of 26 'missing' chunks, got the red warning:

    "Elements with a nonexistent category"

As Bob suggested, I've looked at the modx_categories table in the Db:

    The 'category' entry reads:

    Type: varchar(45)
    Null: No
Default was blank, so I changed it to '0'

    The 'parent' entry reads:

    Type: int(10)
    Null: Yes
    Default: 0

    ---------------------------------

    But no joy
    Any ideas anyone?
(SQL is not my strong point…No, really?)

    Much appreciated

    My setup:
    MODX latest (2.5.2)
    MAMP (latest (3.0.7.3))
    PHP (5.5.26)
    MySQL (5.5.38)
Chrome: Std and Canary (latest versions allowable by OS)
    Mac OX (Mountain Lion-10.8.5).

I would use PHPMyAdmin to look directly at the database and look at the table modx_site_htmlsnippets.
Try looking for the chunks that can't be found in the manager and change the category field to a category you know exists.

Could you search for the chunk name in the uberbar? If they are found, you maybe could edit them by clicking on the chunk name and assign a new category.. if that's not possible because of a fatal error, please open an issue on GitHub or write down here, what's going wrong.

          Lifesavers!

Carried out a combination of both suggestions:
Found the chunks, and then assigned some to a freshly
created category and others to a category field of '0'.
          All chunks present and correct.
          Re-ran Sitecheck….clean bill of health.

Many thanks for taking the time guys
