TV's in News Publisher?

    Hi!

    I created my news (with categories) with the help from this tut: http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Category_Tagging_with_Ditto

    ..also.. I created a new Template Variable named "avatar".
    It works like a charm in manager (picture below for better understanding)


    ... but how can i put this TV into NewsPublisher? I tried with [*avatar*], but it doesn’t work sad
    I want to achieve that the user can import picture directly from the newspubliher and not only from the manager.


    I also have some troubles importing other TV’s that also work great (but only thru the manager)



    Can you please help me? My deadlines are closer and closer :/

      I am not sure that NewsPublisher can handle TVs (but then again the demo site has a text tv as the blog content field, but I think it only has support for that). I would recommend trying FDM, it is quite a bit more complicated but much more powerful.

          FDM = Front-end Document Manager: it is a snippet that allows fron end document publishing and has tv support. The snippet is in perpetual beta but there are qite a few users and the support thread is very acitve so you should get some help if needed.

          There is some great documentation in the snippet itself, after unpacking it look inside and there will be some docs.

            Example. put extra TV in a form when creating/publishing document

                Can you tell how can I recreate the publishing of documents with FDM?
                I tried something and it works, but just the part.. some crucial thing are not workin’ for me as described here: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,14977.msg181978.html#msg181978
