Answered Resource tree not showing after moving to new server

I've just moved a Modx Revo 2.5.1 site to a different server. Everything went well except the resource tree is not showing in the left column of the manager. The header block is there with Resources | Elements | Files etc.. but just no resources showing...

I've spent several hours trying all the tips I could find here but so far nothing has worked. I've tried:-

Logging out of the manager and manually clearing all the cache files before and after migration.
Switching to a different browser and deleting cookies / temporary files
Copied the original files data and database and repeated the migration several times in case of any corrupt files.
Checked & re-checked all the config files several times.
Disabled compress_js & compress_css in systems settings.
Uninstalled all plug-ins before migration.

I ended up by upgrading to Revo 2.5.2 and running set up gain but nothing has worked for me. Does anyone have any additional suggestions please?

0) easiest step: use installatron, and Import only with FTP

1) Manually delete all files under core/cache (not the folder itself, only the contents) + "clear cache / rebuild"

2) Correct the paths in multiple config files (ie root/public_html/
define('MODX_CORE_PATH', '/path/to/modx_doc_root/core/');
define('MODX_CONFIG_KEY', 'config');
/config.core.php
/connectors/config.core.php
/manager/config.core.php

Thanks Ananda, I did try all that but unfortunately didn't work. I also downloaded and ran the test_config.php script mentioned in the Modx docs and everything checks out OK, so I'm still stuck with the problem

I once had the exact same problem, with the resource tree vanishing, and I was able to solve it like that.

1)Have you tried completely uninstalling TinyMCE ?
And then replacing it with TinyMCE Wrapper or CKeditor ?

2) Open your MySQL file in Notepad++, and look for paths that still refer to your old server config.

3) change the paths in the different config files form "/absolute" to "relative"

4) Is the "base_path" correct ?

5) disable "compress css" / "compress js"

6) use the "upgradeModx" extra from Bob, and play around with different versions of Modx (upgrade / downgrade)
