This is my first post in our beautiful MODX forums. It's nice here...
So, I am migrating a website that was previously built using Websitebaker (a very unknown CMS that isn't supported enough) to MODX. First step was copying template files (such as CSS, JS, IMG) to MODX and then copying the site's HTML to the content field. I did a symlink to the old media folder that contains original images and their resized counterparts.
Sometimes the resized copies were server by Websitebaker and I copied their link into MODX. Later, I want to switch to Content Blocks and Redactor. But that transition will take time as each page needs to be rebuilt.
Websitebaker had an addon that resized the imaged to what was written in the img width and height attribute. Is this possible with TinyMCE? I really only want to use the original images.
Of course I want TinyMCE to show the actual image, so I don't want to replacy the image call. Then there is no WYSIWYG anymore.
When I finally use Content Blocks, I know how to do this stuff...

Just install this addon: "autofiximagesize".
All images that you resize with TinyMCE, will be really compressed and cached to that size.
Thank you for your tips. Imageslim sounds good but the latest version is from late 2013. Is it still supported enough?
