MODX 2.2.3-pl some resources not showing randomly

I have this strange issue with a quite old but regularly updated site (around 400 resources). Some resources (and I can't really trace the problem) stop working in the web context. The resource is seen in the manager, open, edits, publishes and so on but when I try to click "VIEW" or just display a resource on the web context it strangely redirects itself to its parent resource. Let's say I have "promo offers" folder resource and inside I have around 30 resources. I create a "New Year 2017" promo offer, it's publish and all but when I view it it redirects to "promo offers" folder resource. This is not related with aliases not working. I delete the resource, make a new one with more or less the same content, and "bam" it works again. Some resources redirect to the site root (which I set as a default behaviour to a "unknown alias".

Help. I tried to trace the dependency for weeks but I can't get what is going on. I can't update MODX to newer version because it shoots an error about tables. I really don't know what to do.

thats probably your issue, what version are you trying to upgrade to, try upgrading to 2.2.16 and see if that solves the issue https://modx.com/download/release/revolution-2.2.16-pl

Have you tried upgrading to 2.3.0, then 2.4.0, then 2.5.0? There are some changes to the DB tables in those versions.
