    Hi,

I have tried all tutorials and tips i've seen on this website (and elsewhere) so far but am still unable to get MODx and MAMP working with friendly urls.

    • My MODx root htaccess has been renamed to .htaccess
    • In MAMP/conf/apache/httpd.conf I have the <Directory />
      Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
      AllowOverride All
      </Directory>
      and
LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so as they should be
Do i need to add anything to the .htaccess file? Should i add a path to: RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /

    I have tried:
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /localhost/myWebsite
    but to no avail.

Does anyone have any tips to get this working?

    Thanks

Local sites in a subdirectory usually need the RewreteBase adjusted.

Try this (be sure there's a slash at the end):

      RewriteEngine On
      RewriteBase /myWebsite/

Once upon a time, I had the same problem with XAMPP. I'm glad you got it sorted. smiley
