    I didn’t want to post this as a bug - I maybe just doing something stupid.

    I am running 0.9.6.1p2. If I enter the following code on a page and save the page in Rich Text mode the snippet tag disappears.

    <select id="type_of_call" name="type_of_call">
            [[getJobTypes?tvVar=`callTypes`]]
    	<option value="Other">
    	Other (please specify below)</option>
    </select>

    If I turn off the Rich Text editor everything works. The snippet just enters an option list depending on the tvVar.

    So - am I doing something wrong. Any suggestions would be welcome.

      Sounds like the Rich Text editor being over-helpful. Try putting that whole block in a chunk, then using the chunk in your rich text content. Or just don’t use the Rich Text editor for that document.

        Or include the entire select structure in the output of the snippet rather than just the options. I am guessing that the RTE is considering that a mistake and cleaning it up. Just to test it try only the snippet call outside the select.

          I just turned off the RTE for that page. I didn’t try replacing the whole Select structure but I might experiment with that.

          It was strange - I never had problems with the RTE before, I usually have it turned off. In this case the client wanted the RTE for some other pages - so I turned it on globally. The next call I got from the client was the drop down menus had stopped working. It took a while to make the connection.

            Good Call !! smiley

            I disabled cleanup and it worked.

            Thanks for your help - I would never have found that.

              Try to disable "cleanup" in Resources > Manage resources > Plugins > tinyMCE > Configuration tab
              Maybe that’s the culprit.
              That is good to know, thanks grin
