Answered Assigning Media Sources to a particular user group

    Hello,

    I've made a custom media source and i would like to assign it to a particular user group.
    But the only way i found to assign it it's to set the as a default media source.
    I tried to assign it directly in the config of these particular group using default_media_source config and the ID of my media source without success. I get an error Code: 200 OK...
    Is there any other way ? I mean without assigning it as default ?!

      When you're editing a media source, you should see an Access Permissions tab where you can define what user groups have access to the media source. If no permissions are set, everybody gets access. Once permissions are set, only those groups with access (and sudo users) will have access.

        MODX Revolution 2.3.5-pl (traditional)

        I found a "bug" (image attchement 1.jpg) on previous version of 2.4. In version 2.4 there a lot of changes in the media source (https://raw.githubusercontent.com/modxcms/revolution/v2.4.0-pl/core/docs/changelog.txt).
        In previous version of 2.4 you have to define media source for client access in the general config to make it work with alert message. On 2.4 version and after you can define it directly in client user group or in client user without getting an alert message.

        The order of priority is :
        1. general (system)
        2. context
        3. user group
        4. user
