HI,
ok I have the following TV:
Input Type: dropDown list menu
Input Option Values: Blue==blue||Green==green
Default value: @INHERIT
Now i thought that if i set a container so say green, then all children of that container will all be green as well, but it does not seem to work. Is this the correct use of @INHERIT ?
thanks,
g
oh, i guess @INHERIT was not what i thought it was. Is there anyway to have children inherit the tv values of its parent?

Yes, it should inherit the value selected for the parent.
that`s what i thought, but i maybe it does not work for dropDown list menus?

It should... I just ran through a test of that for my articles, and it seems to me that it worked. Let me check it again.

Hm... I tested it for a set of check boxes or radio buttons, and a default value of @INHERIT did what was exptected. I haven’t tried it with a select; I don’t like them and so avoid using them whenever possible.
yep, those two do work for me, i guess it must be the select menu. Only annoying thing about @inherit is it does not select the option (e,g checkbox) clients no doubt will be confused.

It never displays the parent’s value. Usually it’s just @INHERIT in the child form fields.
