I recently broke my MODx site, including the manager, by modifying some plugin code. Unfortunately, that plugin listens for the OnHandleRequest event, and my modification caused an error that resulted in any request getting redirected circularly multiple times until failure (in any context). I was in the position of knowing what I had done to cause this, but wasn't able to fix it by changing the code back in the database or the static files. I finally realized that it was probably being cached, but since I didn't have manager access I ended up editing the cache files for the plugin to remove my modification, which fixed the problem.
I'm just posting this in case someone can benefit from it. It took me awhile to figure this out but it helped me understand better how MODx works. If there is a recommended method for clearing the MODx cache when the manager is broken, I'd be interested in hear about it.
Hi, you can clear cache manually. To do it you have just to delete all files in core/cache/ folder.
