    Hi all,

Is there something like modx written in other languages: CFM, JSP ?

There’s tons of CMSes, but I’m not aware of those that share MODx’s blend of easy templating and nearly total freedom to make sites exactly how developers desire. Noticed you left .Net, Ruby, Python and Perl out of your language list ... intentional?

For .NET there’s Umbraco. Which is open source. I’ve heard good things about it but haven’t the server requirements or time to check it out myself. If a client insists on .NET however in the future, I’ll look at this first.

Just when I was about to mention Umbraco, indeed worth checking out they seem to have the same "flexibility first" philosophy... now would I work with .NET rather than LAMP ? Not if I can avoid it !

I actually have a potential .net client, I will look into Umbraco, thanks for the tip.

            That’s my exact sentiment grin

I’ve heard good things about Sava CMS (Coldfusion). It’s very new and I haven’t checked it out properly yet.

I asked about CFM and JSP because that’s what the server supports. But I do not mind to know about more CMSs for diffrent platforms. Who knows maybe one day I’ll have to use some.
