    Hi,

I recently ready Bob's tutorial on Cachemaster:
    http://bobsguides.com/cachemaster-tutorial.html
which was perfect solution for me, as i have hundreds of products, so i can't afford for the cache to be cleared site-wide when i make a small change to the home page for example.

But i cannot get the plugin to work.

I have installed it, and have created a property set as below:
    doChunks - Yes
    doPlugins - No
    doResources - Yes
    doSnippets - No
    doTVs - Yes
    doTemplates - No
    uncheckEmptyCache - Yes

But 'untick emptycache didn't work - it was still checked by default.

so i went into system settings, and changed:

    syncsite_default to NO

This then makes all resources unchecked by default.

But now, when i save a resource, the cache isn't cleared for that resource - so I have to check 'empty cache' which clears the entire cache sitewide - which is the default behaviour.

    Any ideas?

I just need a simple solution that allows me to only clear the cache for the resources I change.

    Thanks
    Andy

      UPDATE:
I have tried to use statcache instead, as I was advised this should create flat html files of each page, which will speed things up.
I have installed it, and followed the instruction here:
      https://rtfm.modx.com/extras/revo/statcache

But my statcache directory is not being written to.
      The .htacccess file contains this:

      # If MODX is directly in your DOCUMENT_ROOT,
      # add this before your MODX Friendly URLs RewriteCond's and RewriteRule...
      RewriteCond %{DOCUMENT_ROOT}/statcache%{REQUEST_URI}/~index.html -f
      RewriteRule ^(.*)$ statcache/$1~index.html [L,QSA]

      RewriteCond %{DOCUMENT_ROOT}/statcache%{REQUEST_URI} -f
      RewriteRule ^(.*)$ statcache/$1 [L,QSA]

And inside the statcache directory, I have another .htaccess file containing this:

      <files *>
      ForceType text/html
      </files>

The statcache directory has permissions of 777

      Any ideas anyone?

I'm not having much luck with caching today!!

Did you attach the Property Set to the plugin? In System Property sets, right-click on the Property Set and select "Attach element to Property Set."

Also, make sure the CacheMaster plugin is enabled (right click on it in the Elements tree).

It's possible that the changes to make the Manager responsive have broken CacheMaster. If the above doesn't work (after clearing the cache). I'll have to try to find time to test it in 2.5.0.

Thanks Bob - I hadn't enabled it - I assumed it would be enabled when installed - thanks.

It still didn't work for a while, but then i cleared the entire cache, and it seems to be working as expected now - thanks for your help this plugin is a lifesaver!

          Thanks

              Hi Bob,
Congratulations is really very useful plugin!

              I experienced an issue!
If save to resource edit page the plugin work perfectly, only delete this resources cache,
but if I modify the resource from quickupdate the plugin not working and clear all cache resources.

              Thanks

To be honest, I can't remember if CM ever worked with QuickUpdate. Did it work for you there in the past?

I would not know I installed it for the first time today

Make sure the plugin is enabled. It's not enabled when installed.

Also, there is a "Clear Cache on Save" checkbox on the Settings tab in QuickUpdate. Is it checked with CacheMaster enabled or not?

If you uncheck it, does CacheMaster clear the cache for that resource but not others?

Make sure the plugin is enabled. It's not enabled when installed.

the plugin is active and working correctly in page edit ( manager/?a=resource/update&id=1)
