So this morning I go to log into one of my projects, currently live. I go to log in, and I am met with this login page: http://i.imgur.com/nRwTJdl.jpg . Kind of odd considering I have been using REVO 2.5 and I haven't seen this login page, but I think nothing of it. I login like normal, and I am met with a completely different UI than the previous one I am using http://i.imgur.com/KvWjKHh.jpg. Upon further investigation, I cannot view any pages, all of the links on the screen including the admin and logout buttons don't work. I am completely stuck and don't know where to start. For the sake of privacy, I have put black bars over the website names.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Images are also attached if you are skeptical about links...

Have you changed anything lately that might have caused this?

The first thing to try is deleting all files in the core/cache directory (while not logged in).

        Hi Bob,

Unfortunately after deleting all the files in the core/cache directory, I still get the same login screen, as well as the same manager navigation screen. Yesterday I was changing some settings to enable SMTP through gmail, but I don't think anything that I did would have this effect. I was actually going by another forum post you responded to via form submission and SMTP using gmail. I am going to look into migrating to a fresh installation of modx and see if it is possible to keep all of the database files, unless you have any other ideas.

        Thank you for your help!

Another thing to try is going into the DB in PhpMyAdmin or the equivalent, and turning off compress_js and compress_css in the modx_system_settings table. Delete the cache files again before logging in.

Check the core/config/config.inc.php file to make sure the paths and URLs are correct. Sometimes a host will move your site to a new path without telling you.

Keep in mind the possibility that the site has been hacked.

Look in the modx_site_plugins table and see if you have a plugin called core services, or any other plugins that you're sure you didn't install. Check the index.php and .htaccess files for anything suspicious.
