    Hi,

i have installed simplesearch as so:
    [[!SimpleSearch?
    &ids=`29`
    &includeTVs=`1`
    &hideMenu=`0`
    &extractSource=`description`
    &docFields=`pagetitle,introtext`
    &sortBy=`pagetitle`
    &sortDir=`ASC`
    &searchIndex=`query`
    ]]

But it's listing all the containers within resource 29 (which aren't products).

    I started adding in:
    &exclude=`30,272,etc,etc,`

But I have so many containers, it will take forever, and it's not future-proof.
Is there no way to automatically exclude all containers from the search results?

    Thanks!
    Andy

What if you hide the container from menu?

Thanks - I actually did this by using SercSEO plugin - where there is the option to:
Yes, include this page in the internal search engine
        or
No, hide this page for the internal search engine

Which works a treat - I didn't want to hide the container from the menu, because I'm also using it in several menus. Thank!

Smart. For the record, you could modify the "hide if hidden" option in every call (wayfinder, getResources, etc.)

          Cheers.

Yep - very true - the best thing about Modx is there's always different ways of doing things - the problem I have is knowing which way is the BEST though!
