I made several websites for a client, and I gave them all their login info for their modx site. A few months after the sites were finished, my hard drives crashed, and I lost all login info. Now the clients are asking for their passwords because they lost their login info. Is there any way to login into their modx site to retrieve their passwords? Can it be found in the database? Please help. They are not upset, but this jobs needs to be finished. Thanks
The passwords are encrypted when saved to the database.
I think the only thing you can do is set new ones from the manager.
If you can’t login to the manager at all then you will need to do it direct into the database.
The table is modx_manager_users choose one of the users and set the password to e10adc3949ba59abbe56e057f20f883e
Now login as that user with the password 123456.
Remember to change the password when you’ve logged in!
