    Hi,

    I am developing in MODX for a few years, It works great, but i always have the same problem.
    I develop a new site for an existing domain name. So the new MODX site is at:
    www.my-hosting.com/new-url.com/

    Once the site is ready i update the DNS to my-hosting so the new site can be accessed at:
    new-url.com

    Everything works.
    To enable friendly URLs i rename ht.access to .htaccess
    Still everything works except the manger which tries to link to:
    new-url.com/new-url.com/manager and obviously fails.

    I tried updating the 4 cfg files mentioned in:
    https://rtfm.modx.com/revolution/2.x/administering-your-site/moving-your-site-to-a-new-server
    But i get a 503 error.

    I reverted back. So unless i activate friendly URLs everything is fine.
    I guess i editted the cfg files in a bad way - or i need to re-run setup.
    I am afraid to do it without losing a couple of weeks work -
    When the solution seems very simple.

    I would appreciate any help, i am sure many people encounter it - but could not find a clear answer.
    I use MODX revo 2.5, hosting is public using cpanel.

    Thanks!

      Hi martinn
      You can prove this, on file /core/config.inc.php changing $modx_manager_url like this

      if (!defined('MODX_MANAGER_PATH')) {

          $modx_manager_path= 'new-url.com/new-url.com/manager/';

          $modx_manager_url= '/manager/';

      I hope this help. wink

        Hi,

        after Yulianita put me on the right path,
        I found the answer -

        I needed to modify only the following in /core/config/config.inc.php
        $modx_connectors_url= '/connectors/';
        $modx_manager_url= '/manager/';
        $modx_base_url= '/';
        $http_host='www.my-url.com';
        $modx_assets_url= '/assets/';

        Hope it helps someone in the future smiley
