Answered Manager assets path inaccurate after moving ModX install one directory down

I have a ModX install on my local machine. After changing its location from /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/ to /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/new-folder, the manager no longer displays a number of stylesheets and scripts. An inspection of the network traffic reveals that these files are being searched for at localhost:8888/manager instead of localhost:8888/new-folder/manager. Other files in the same page, like modx.component.js and login.js have the correct path and are loading fine. I've gone through the core.config files as per this article : https://rtfm.modx.com/revolution/2.x/administering-your-site/moving-your-site-to-a-new-server and updated the paths in the source code. I've also tried setting compress_js and compress_css to no in the systems settings table of the db and clearing core/cache, with no luck. Not sure what the problem is here! Any help is much appreciated.

Running setup in the new location might fix it (be sure you run it at /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/new-folder/setup/). If you have to create the setup directory, be sure it's from the exact same version of MODX.

If that doesn't work, you can manually edit the core/config/config.inc.php file -- check all the values there. Also check the config.core.php files in the root, manager, and connectors directories.

Delete all files in the core/cache directory after making any changes.

When it works, rename the original directories and make sure everything still works before deleting them.

It's possible that deleting all files in the core/cache directory and clearing your browser cache and cookies would have fixed things.
