In very general terms you identify an appropriate spot in your front-end jquery (after the drag/ drop has successfully completed) and make an ajax call to a resource that contains a snippet (and nothing else). Put whatever code you need to update their profile in this snippet.

In addition, I suggest you look into extending the user profile rather than using the extended fields. The best way to do this is Bob Ray's ClassExtender. He explains why here: http://bobsguides.com/blog.html/2014/05/27/why-extend-moduser/

The greatest compliment you can give back to us, is to spend a few seconds leaving a rating at our trustpilot: https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/alienbuild.uk about the service we provided. We always drop mention of services offered by businesses we've worked with in the past to those of interest.
