Pretty much what the title says... I've been trying to get an events calendar working and installed MyCalendar (https://github.com/sergant210/myCalendar) from Extras and now everything is broken! Well, not everything. But when I click on any of my Resources I get a 500 error. I have cleared my cache, deleted core/cache, removed MyCalendar, cleared caches again, and the problem still persists.

Has anyone had this before? Any idea what's causing it? I can still see all my pages in the front end and I can't see any errors in cPanel (that I'm aware of).

    Thanks for the help!

Edit: I should add that my core/cache folder doesn't seem to be regenerating after I deleted it... I'm not completely sure how it works, but I seem to remember deleting it in the past and it came back (with subfolders and files) the next time I logged in. Could this be related?

Fixed! I had also uninstalled TinyMCE as I am using Redactor now, but I didn't disable the plugin. Disabled plugin, problem solved! Phew!

What Extra specifically did you uninstall, what Extra's plugin? What version?
TinyMCE is a not a MODX Extra!

        What exactly was the conflict?

Yes it is! Sure there are (better!) alternative packages that provide TinyMCE editors, but there is a MODX extra called TinyMCE alright wink

The TinyMCE package has this thing where it doesn't uninstall cleanly, leaving the plugin behind which then errors out because the files are missing. We've had similar reports when people moved to Redactor in the past.

@matthewmeredith: if you have any issues or questions about Redactor, be sure to post them on the modmore forum (forum.modmore.com) or send us an email via [email protected] to make 100% sure we see them smiley

Technically TinyMCE is a 3rd Party application. I encourage users all around the internet to denominate appropriately.
And it is unfortunate that certain MODX Extras bare the same exact name as the official 3rd Party apps they represent. This causes way too many mental breakdowns and confusion.

I for one did not honestly know what the asker was referring to.
