I was excited to hear the new manager in 2.5 was going to be mobile friendly, but after upgrading, I still get the desktop view of the manager, which is not really useable.
I saw loads of screen shots online as to how it is supposed to look - do I have to enable it or something?

I've just noticed that there is no Viewport tag in the head of the manager - which is why it's not working on mobile devices!!
How can I add the viewport tag into the manager without it being overwritten when i update?
Are you using a third-party Manager template? If so, try switching to the default one.
Nope. It's the default. Have never used third party managers.
You could try adding it to this file:
manager\templates\default\header.tpl
Ah ok thanks. I added it myself but the result wasn't great. Almost impossible to do even minor edits from iPad or iPhone. Shame as it Would be really useful to be able to do minor quick edits without firing up the Mac!
