    Hello,

I have an Evo 1.0.15 website that is having issues with completed eform emails not being sent through to the website owner. So he is missing customer enquiries when they fill out an eform form on his website. His normal emails work fine.

The client uses gmail / Google for their email, so a number of his MX records point to google.

I can't replicate this on other Evo sites at the same host (those eform emails all come through as expected) - but none of the others use Google mail for their email so not sure if that effects it??

Apparently there seems to be an issue with the emails getting stopped by some software on the server called Ironport. Maybe it think its spam.

The host asked if eform can be configured to send via external SMTP. Not sure how to do this or whether there is a way to do this without hacking any core Evo or eForm files? I saw some old post relating to eform and smtp but not sure if they are still relevant - and that related to hacking files to make it work.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

What about setting eForm to use a domain email and setting that to fwd to the client's gmail? I was having issues with eForm and gmail a few years back on an Evo site and IIRC, this solution worked nicely. Pardon if my memory is incorrect, that site has been converted to Revo now but they still use the forwarding option as it's what they're used to.

Thanks Frogabog, that's a good suggestion.
The email is being sent to (and from) an email address on their the client's domain name - is that what you mean? Or are you referring to some setting in eForm?
I think the problem is that the anti-spam software ironport is capturing any emails that hit the server. Apparently it either then quarantines or discards the eform email, depending on if it likes the content.
ps We also added noreply@clientdomain... in the php.ini file without any success
